Actor/Musical Comedian

A sharply political comedian who brings smarts and bold delivery to her satirical songs.
— Time Out New York
New York comic Katie Goodman has been described as a female Tim Minchin. Goodman is a multi-talented singer and musician with a sharp line in political satire and a voice that can send goose-bumps up your spine or make the light fittings rattle. Ripping through songs in a variety of styles, from rap through country to Italian opera, she skewers religion, homophobia, MILFs, the Tea Party and her own midlife crisis with a merciless eye.
— The Observer, Edinburgh Fringe Festival

She is a nationally touring keynote speaker on the topic of using the tools of improv comedy in everyday life.

As the creator and headliner of “Broad Comedy,” an internationally touring satirical musical show that she and her husband Soren Kisiel write and direct, she has raised over $2,000,000 for Planned Parenthood and The ACLU. Her solo show, The Mid-Life Crisis Tour, has played Off-Broadway in New York City where she received a Time Out New York Critic’s Pick for Best Cabaret. Katie and Soren were nominated for The EPIC Award from The White House Project and were also nominated for the MacArthur Foundation Genius Grant for their extensive work in theatre.

Katie will help you laugh at the bastards, thus lengthening your life and shortening theirs.

I see thousands of comedians every year and Katie Goodman can hold her own not just as a feminist political comedian who calls out the powers that be, but also just simply as one hell of a funny woman who ups the ante of how funny women comedians can be.

I have a real soft spot in my heart for female comedians. But that soft spot gets Charmin Ultra best-wipe-your-butt’s-ever-had-soft when I find female comedians who manage to make feminist and human rights issues funny. Which means Katie Goodman is currently lounging in my heart, wrapped up in a Snuggie and sitting on a bed of super-soft toilet paper.

Bottom line: Katie is funny!

Like a female Tim Minchin— with a dirtier mind (yes it’s possible).

Exuberant! Colossal entertainment value, induced by the joyously vulgar, smart writing and skillfully executed showmanship. Katie Goodman is a multi-talented, femme-extraordinaire!
— LOS ANGELES EXAMINER
A spectacular, memorable solo show! Effervescent, smart... Delightful, clever parodies and vulnerable, a likable personality.
— NEW YORK FUNNY SONGS FESTIVAL
What’s that? Feminists don’t have a sense of humor? Trying telling that to comedian-actress-musician-feminist Katie Goodman. Before there was the women-in-comedy phenom Bridesmaids, there was Goodman. Goodman is all kinds of myth-busting!
— MS Magazine
The incredible Katie Goodman had the audience screaming.
— HOLLYWOOD TODAY
Katie Goodman attacks the funny bone and skewers society with satire and song. Brilliant!
